iCloud Health data not syncing to simulator
As the title says, I logged in to my simulator on my mac mini m2 and turned on icloud sync. My health data is in iCloud but it wont load in. When I go to documents for example I can see documents that I have loaded so I know something is working right. I have tried clicking Feature -> Trigger iCloud sync with no luck. The app I am building uses health data and there is no other way to get health data (heart rate, workouts, sleep) in the simulator. Please help

Has anyone been able to point apache's DocumentRoot to an iCloud folder on Sonoma, Apache 2.4?
As the question states, I'm having trouble getting apache access to my new DocumentRoot which is a folder in iCloud on my Mac. I have DocumentRoot "/Users/MYUSERNAME/Library/Mobile Documents/comappleCloudDocs/Sites" but I'm getting 403 Forbidden errors. If I change DocumentRoot to just "/Users/MYUSERNAME/Library" everything works as expected. It just can't seem to find Mobile Documents. I can see the Mobile Documents folder in a shell but it doesn't appear in the Finder. Help!

Looking for USBSerialDriver sample code
I would like to write a driver that supports our custom USB-C connected device, which provides a serial port interface. USBSerialDriverKit looks like the solution I need. Unfortunately, without a decent sample, I'm not sure how to accomplish this. The DriverKit documentation does a good job of telling me what APIs exist but it is very light on semantic information and details about how to use all of these API elements. A function call with five unexplained parameters just is that useful to me. Does anyone have or know of a resource that can help me figure out how to get started?

Xcode Cloud workflows are not being started (Pull Request Changes)
Any Xcode Cloud workflow with 'Pull Request Changes' as one of its start conditions has suddenly stopped working altogether. The workflow is never started. This issue seems to have begun within the last 48 hours. Removing the 'Pull Request Changes' start condition makes the workflows functional again. The test I just ran to confirm this: Created a new Xcode Cloud workflow Selected Start Conditions: 'Pull Request Changes' from/into any branch, when any files are changed Selected Test as the 'Actions' Created a pull request on my github repository The workflow was never started Added 'Branch Changes' to the Start Conditions, specifying branch-a under 'Custom Branches' Pushed to branch-a The workflow was never started Removed 'Pull Request Changes' from the Start Conditions Pushed to branch-a The workflow finally started Curious if others are having this issue? And if so, is there a timeline for when this will be resolved? I have confirmed that our Github actions are configured properly, and believe this is indeed an issue with Xcode Cloud.

Xcode build failure
On Xcode when I try to build/run, I get 'React/RCTEventEmitter.h' file not found. The same works when I use yarn ios --simulator <>. I tried installing the latest version of Xcode, still same problem. I have Xcode 16.1 now. Firebase Cloud Messaging Campaigns Not Delivering Notifications to iOS App
I’m having an issue with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) where direct messages sent via the FCM token work perfectly, but notifications from Firebase Messaging Campaigns don’t reach my iOS app. Here’s what I’ve tried and confirmed so far: Setup & What’s Working: Direct Messages via FCM Token: These are received by the app without any issues. Notification Permissions: All necessary permissions are granted on the device. APNs Authentication Key: This is configured in Firebase, and the Firebase Console shows the campaign status as “Completed,” but messages don’t appear on the target device. My Steps: Uploaded the APNs Authentication Key in Firebase: Opened Apple Developer Console > Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles > Keys > Registered a New Key > Checked APNs service. Downloaded the APNs Key and uploaded it to Firebase under Project Settings > Cloud Messaging. Firebase Console Campaign Setup: Notification title and body are configured. Target set to “All Users” (for testing purposes). Message settings: sound enabled, Apple badge enabled, badge count set to 1, expiration set to 4 weeks. Code Setup (relevant parts): Using Firebase for authentication and data storage with Firestore. Configured AppDelegate for Firebase, FCM, and APNs token registration. Implemented UNUserNotificationCenterDelegate methods to show notifications when the app is in the foreground. Observed Behavior: The Firebase Console indicates the campaign is “Completed,” but the messages are not received on the device. There are no errors in the Firebase Console or my Xcode logs when sending the campaign. My AppDelegate is correctly handling the APNs token and FCM token registration. Here’s My Code Setup in AppDelegate: class AppDelegate: NSObject, UIApplicationDelegate, MessagingDelegate, UNUserNotificationCenterDelegate { func application(_ application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [UIApplication.LaunchOptionsKey: Any]?) -> Bool { FirebaseApp.configure() Messaging.messaging().delegate = self UNUserNotificationCenter.current().delegate = self UNUserNotificationCenter.current().requestAuthorization(options: [.alert, .sound, .badge]) { granted, error in if granted { print("Notification permission granted") } } application.registerForRemoteNotifications() return true } func application(_ application: UIApplication, didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken deviceToken: Data) { Messaging.messaging().apnsToken = deviceToken } func messaging(_ messaging: Messaging, didReceiveRegistrationToken fcmToken: String?) { print("FCM Token received: \\(String(describing: fcmToken))") } func userNotificationCenter(_ center: UNUserNotificationCenter, willPresent notification: UNNotification, withCompletionHandler completionHandler: @escaping (UNNotificationPresentationOptions) -> Void) { completionHandler([.alert, .badge, .sound]) } }

Developer Support Contact Page Won't Load (Among Other Issues)
I just joined the Apple Developer Program through my university team, and the point of contact for our university verified that I am on the team. However, after almost a week of waiting, I am still unable to access any privileges related to the program, and whenever I sign into my account, I am prompted to join the program, leading me to believe that there is some issue related to the enrollment process. I went to find a support link to see if I could sort out this issue, but whenever I navigate to the link given on the developer program page (https://developer.apple.com/contact/), I am greeted with a blank screen. Is it possible that I've done something wrong during the enrollment process?

Inquiry About Upcoming Changes to APNs Certificates
Hello, I’m reaching out to gather information regarding the upcoming changes to APNs certificates that are set to be implemented in the beta at the end of January 2025. Specifically, I would like to understand the following: What will be the practical impact of these changes on apes apis ? What actually needed to be done at trust store for this changes, and how will it affect our current setup? What steps do we need to take to update the certificates on our servers? it’s crucial for us to address these changes in advance and keep our customers informed. Thank you for your help!

New apple dev enrollment
I signed up for the Apple Developer Program 15 days ago, but I haven’t received any updates on my enrollment. A few days ago, I attempted to sign up again and contacted support three days ago, but I still haven’t received a response. I initially enrolled via the web, but I’m unable to re-enroll through the Apple Developer app with this email. To troubleshoot, I created a new Apple ID, and from that new account, I can proceed with enrollment via the app. My question is, should I attempt to enroll with my new Apple ID? And if so, would I be at risk of being charged twice if my original account is eventually approved, resulting in two active subscriptions?

Apple MachineID Mapping
Hi, I am a developer developing a software but the vendor product that I’m using is always using the iPhone identifier for the iPhone model that the user is using. For example, it will return iPhone16,2 when the user is using iPhone15ProMax. Is there an official documentation for iPhoneModel and iPhoneIdentifier mapping? Thanks

com.apple.security.device.camera is being added to a MacCatalyst build Xcode 16.1
Hi, I have been building a MacCatalyst versions of an iOS app for years using a separate build that included a specific .entitlements file that excludes the com.apple.security.device.camera. Yet when I now build with Xcode 16.1 that entitlement is included. I have double checked my signing entitlement for my MacCatalyst build it is configured properly. I have check my .entitlement file to ensusre com.apple.security.device.camera is not there. All is as it should be. I have changed nothing, my build flow is the same. App Store Review has prevented the Mac build to be release becuse the com.apple.security.device.camera is set. What can I do to correct this?

ktx compression method
I've been working on generating a KTX format cubemap using the xcrun realitytool image --generate-cube-map command, but I'm encountering an issue with the file size. The cubemap file ends up being around 128 MB(2k), which is too large for my needs. I'm hoping to get some advice on a few points: Is there any way to reduce the file size of the KTX cubemap generated with this command? I’d appreciate any tips on compression settings or alternative approaches that could help shrink the file size while retaining good quality. Is there any documentation available for this command? I've been exploring on my own, but a comprehensive guide would be helpful. Are there alternative methods for converting textures to the KTX format? If anyone has experience with other tools or workflows that work well for this, please share!
