Drag Race host RuPaul has been doing a stellar job at hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live this week as the newest, and final, celebrity to fill in for the late night host. While RuPaul has been continuing Jimmy Kimmel‘s tradition of poking fun at Donald Trump and other politicians, he’s also begun his own tradition of introducing himself with the dirtiest jokes possible. And the Kimmel crowd is loving it!
RuPaul wasted no time at all to begin cracking jokes when he took the stage for Wednesday’s (Aug. 22) broadcast.
“Welcome to Jimmy Kimmel Live, I’m your host, RuPaul,” he told the audience. “As my Grindr profile says, ‘I can host but y’all better be gone in an hour.'”
It looks like RuPaul is pushing the boundary with each night he spends hosting Kimmel this week. Just yesterday, he introduced himself by boasting about his decades-long career before once again cracking a naughty joke.
“You know a lot of people think of me as an entrepreneur, the queen of drag, a musician, TV mogul,” he said at the top of the show Tuesday (Aug. 20). “But I am much more than that… I am also a great pair of tits.”
RuPaul is the final celebrity who will be guest hosting Live this summer amid Kimmel’s summer hiatus, marking the end of a chaotic and fun run for the late night talk show.
Martin Short kicked off the star-studded summer with a chaotic week guest hosting as both himself and his problematic persona Jiminy Glick. He was also joined by his Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Selena Gomez to promote the new season of their critically acclaimed comedy.
Kathryn Hahn, Kumail Nanjiani, Lamorne Morris, Jeff Goldblum also guest-hosted the show.
Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman also made a brief appearance in July to promote their new Marvel film and the bizarre popcorn bucket they created for the movie.
Reynolds presented the Wolverine-shaped bucket and said, “What’s crazy is I didn’t realize until just now, you know people are really gonna fuck this thing. That’s a clear invitation.”
Kimmel last hosted the show in June when he announced that he would be taking a break for the summer. He is expected to be back on the air Monday, Sept. 2.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
