Owning Manhattan star Jessica Taylor helped facilitate one of the show’s most stunning deals. Without ever even meeting the buyers, she manages to up their budget from between $5 and $10 million to a whopping $21.7 million — and they never even step foot in the place they buy before putting in their offer. So, that begs the question: who the heck are these people? Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher? Rihanna and A$AP Rocky? Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet? Or maybe even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

Because of a strict NDA, all we know about the unnamed couple is that they live in California and have two young kids and a private chef. Taylor describes them in the show as “very exclusive, high-network” clients, noting that they must be rich rich if they send their attorney to pick out a place for them.

The buyers are in search of a one-floor space with high ceilings, two kitchens, a lot of privacy and a Downtown Manhattan vibe.

Taylor eventually finds them exactly what they’re looking for — the only problem is that the space is listed at $22 million.

Despite the high price, the buyers decide to put in a final offer of $21.7 million, securing the place for more than double their budget and earning Taylor a commission of $651,000.

But what we all want to know, as viewers, is who these people are. Prince Harry and Markle check many of the boxes: two young kids, California-based and a need for privacy. Taylor even suggests that her boss Ryan Serhant might’ve paired her with them since they’re both British.

Well, we asked Serhant about these theories — and, unfortunately, he said they are “incorrect.”

The real estate mogul also explained a bit more about the deal.

“To be fair, it’s not that they went way over budget, it’s that they just didn’t really have a budget to start with,” he told DECIDER. “We tell everybody when they want to come and buy a place in New York City, ‘You’re about to spend more money than you’ve ever thought, forever on a home.'”

He added, “New York City is very, very expensive, but it’s expensive now. It’s always the most expensive right now. And I just don’t think they knew [how much] they thought for what they wanted.”

While Serhant was tight-lipped about who the buyers were, he did reveal that this was hardly the first time he had sold an expensive property unseen.

“We sold a townhouse on 68th St. for $57 million over FaceTime in South Africa. We sold another townhouse on 61st St. for $16.3 million over FaceTime in Croatia,” he said. “So, we have a big following and huge reach, which is why people also want to list their properties with us, because we can do stuff like that.”
