Retinol
Retinol is the classic form of vitamin A, renowned for its ability to visibly smooth, brighten and firm the skin. When retinol is applied to the skin, it is converted to retinaldehyde and then to the active form, retinoic acid (the form that all types of vitamin A must convert to before they become effective on the skin).
