Join us in Brussels 7-10 October and register today

The European Week of Regions and Cities, the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional and urban policy, is taking place from 7 to 10 October 2024. This year’s event promises to be a dynamic platform for regional and local authorities, experts, and academics to exchange ideas and best practices. With over 100 sessions and workshops, participants will explore key topics such as green transition, digital transformation, and social inclusion.

The motto of the event is ‘Empowering Communities’, and the following themes will provide a platform for discussion between multiple participating parties:

  • Competitiveness and convergence: two sides of the same coin
  • Regions strengthening European democracy
  • Smart and sustainable growth for regions
  • Regions got talent

The European Week of Regions and Cities is not just about discussions and presentations, it is also a celebration of regional achievements and collaborations. The event will feature numerous networking opportunities and facilitate cooperation for regions and cities.

As part of this year’s programme, the Publications Office will be present again with a stand under the theme ‘Empowering communities through EU resources’. Visit our stand and learn how the EU works for you and how the wealth of resources provided by the EU institutions and their partners can empower communities, strengthen civic engagement and boost democratic participation. Discover how EU regions can benefit from sources like CORDIS, the official gateway to information on EU-funded research results, the Learning Corner, the European Commission’s toolbox catering for the needs of both students and teachers and of course data.europa.eu, the official portal for European data

As we look forward to data.europa.eu being part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, we encourage you to register and make your personalised programme to learn all about the latest developments in different regions and cities. We hope to see you there!
