Allow scheduling a public release, so that a project can be approved as "private" - this would allow mods and modpacks to have an announced release time, which would increase the downloads and traffic
This is useful for releasing an anticipated bigger modpack or mod, that has been announced in advanced and marketed. It would be a win win, and mimics the functions of other social media platforms.

this would also be big for servers, especially offical server because frequently teams just have to pst the version and wait for approval so then when it is approved people download it but they don't have the server updated because they have no ability to know when it will be released

How is this not a feature yet? It is an essential part of any other platform but not here. Content creators should be able to promote the release or major update to a modpack, but are are not currently able to.
One example of this is the Vault Hunters mod that is due to update to 1.18 today, however due to this not being a function, the creators can only say that they hope that it comes out today. They said that it should hopefully be out between 4 and 6 pm CET, however it is not currently out.
If this becomes a feature, then it will increase the amount of hype in a community for a new update/modpack, subsequently leading to more downloads, meaning more add revenue for you and your creators. It will also save hours of pressing f5, hopping that it will magically pop up, or that the email will eventually come to those following.
