Six 2021 Honda Models Earn IIHS Top Safety Ratings
Six Honda models have earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) rating or better for 2021, with three, Accord, Insight and Odyssey achieving the pinnacle TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) rating. Contributing to the top ratings, the 2021 Accord, two Civic models1 (Sedan and Hatchback), CR-V, Insight and Odyssey each achieve the highest possible rating of “GOOD” in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests.
Working Together to Save Lives
In 2014, the perception in the public and the media was that Stephanie Erdman and Honda North America Executive Vice President Rick Schostek were on opposite sides of the Takata airbag inflator issue. One was seriously injured by a Takata airbag inflator in a car accident, and the other works for the company that manufactured the car. But they talked about how we could work together to help prevent injuries to others. This PSA is the result of that collaboration.
