Looking for work as a caregiver or nanny? Caregiver websites can help you find jobs. But scammers also use them to find people to rip off.
Scammers make up stories to get your money. They email or text that they want to hire you. They send you a big check and ask you to send back money to a supplier to buy medical equipment or other things you'll need for the job. But the check will bounce. So the money you sent was really yours, and it's really gone. And so are the scammers. Don't send money because someone says they want to hire you. An online search might help you spot a scammers tricks. Report scams at FTC.gov/imposters
