How do I remove custom shutdown sounds on my PowerBook 180 running macOS 7.5.3?

I’m a collector and recently bought a nice Powerbook 180 with OS 7.5.3

This machine also came with lots of additional software and games.

One of these plays a custom sounds (choice) at shutdown. I would like to remove it but can’t figure out how. I’m not finding any special sound cp or extension.

Any OS7 users out there that might be able to help me find it?

Thanks!

Solved: replaced the sound cp with v8.3. Also had a corrupt sound cp pref file

simply deleted that pref file and rebooted

All good

Thanks. That’s the first place I looked. Nothing there.

Are you familiar with any applications that this might point to?

Another footnote…when I open the Sound cp I can toggle mute on. Then I don’t get the custom message/sound at that shutdown. However when I restart the computer and check that setting it’s toggled off again. Feels like something is overriding it
