iPhone XR Battery Replacement at Apple Union Square San Francisco - Battery Runtime Issue (Drains so fast after replacement)

I took my properly functioning iPhone to Apple Store - Union Square SF for a battery replacement. I had no issues with my phone's battery whose health was sitting at 82%. As a piece of mind, I wanted to replace it just so I would not have to deal with it in the future when its health hit below 80%. They charged me $89 + tax, which I agreed on. When I got my phone back, this time the battery lifetime was on so low, it drained the whole battery(100%) within 12 hours on flight mode. I took it back to the same store and they replaced it for the 2nd time for which they tried pulling tricks on me saying I'd have to pay another $89 + tax because they ran diagnostics and the battery looked just fine on their end. The store manager then chimed in and said it's under 90 days of warranty and I didn't have to pay again. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor. And then he recommended me that I should trade in my phone and get a new one. The funny thing is when I first had my phone's battery replaced, they were sugarcoating me saying that if the battery doesn't work or some other parts in the phone malfunction after the replacement, they would end up giving me a new phone at no cost. However, after the second replacement, the manager was saying the issue might be related to the logic board and it wasn't on them to fix it or replace the part or replace it with the new same phone (not that I am asking for a new phone as I want to use my own phone).

Long story short, my new replaced battery drains in 10 hours now and it looks like Apple is not willing to take any responsibility for it. That's how much Apple cares about its customers nowadays. Another funny part is that when I called the customer center for repair at 1 (800) 275-2273 to start a hardware support ticket for a thorough inspection to find the cause of why the battery is draining so fast, the senior supervisor on the line told me that I would end up paying $103 for mailing my phone for a thorough investigation, which I disputed and filed a complaint, of course, hoping someone in the upper management cares about customers.

Anybody came across same struggle with Apple after getting a battery replacement service?

Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Draining:

A. Battery Drain Info:

The iPhone battery will drain, unless it is plugged in and charging. With lots installed, the charge would be slower. As for how fast it would drain the battery, that would depend on the battery health and the volume (sound) you use.

  1. Go Here: iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support
  2. Scroll Down: to "Your battery's maximum capacity"
