AirPod Pro Gen 2 no longer always connected, and doesn’t show battery percentages In widgets

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 15, and with my old phone (iPhone 13) whenever I was in range of my AirPods both the case and the AirPods batteries would automatically show up on my Home Screen Widget. With my new phone I cannot get the batteries to show up in the widget with the exception of the AirPods when I have them in. Does anybody know how I can get my batteries to automatically always show in the widget again? I have tried forgetting and reconnecting and that did not fix it.

It also appears that now they don’t automatically show up in the “find my” unless they’re open and connected to my phone, where before even without opening the case you could find them.
