Peer Support
Our Peer Support Service is led by veterans for veterans. It brings former servicemen and women together to share their experiences of mental health issues and receive support and understanding from others who’ve walked a similar path. The service is run by veterans who have all received treatment from Combat Stress.
Veterans can use our Peer Support Service at any point after their initial clinical assessment and subsequent acceptance into our treatment programme. It runs in parallel to our clinical services and provides an environment for veterans to meet others in a similar position. It’s an informal but invaluable part of our specialist support and the recovery journey for veterans.
We hold regular group meetings across the country - usually once a month in person as well as online meetings.
