"Shhh..." Kiara whispered to her daughter. "Relax... feel the earth under your paws... so it doesn't shift and make noise."
Today was another day for Shani to practice her pouncing. She could hardly wait for the day she'd be old enough to hunt with the other lionesses of the Pride. But for now, she enjoyed her mothers lessons.

"Your grandfather, Simba, was a great king, who taught me everything there is to know about ruling a kingdom. One day, son, when I'm gone, you will take my place. The Pridelands will be yours to look after, along with the Pride and it's new arrivals."
"Like Aunt Vitani's new cub?" Chaka asked.
"Yes, along with your sister and any other newcomers you may bring into this world. You will have to defend your Pride, and make wise choices."
"But I can't fight, even Shani can beat me up!"
Kovu chuckled.
"We'll work on that."
