CABI Agriculture and Bioscience is the official journal of CABI – an international, inter-governmental, not-for-profit organization that improves people’s lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.
Since 2020, CABI A&B and the CABI have worked towards their mission of improving the knowledge of biosciences, agriculture, agronomy, microbiology, and social sciences.
We take this opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the progress and achievements the journal has made as a result from our editorial board members, reviewers and authors – and also to share what our priorities are for the future.
2023 marks a year of significant milestones for CABI A&B, and we are very excited to build upon the journal’s successes in the future. The fields of research that CABI A&B serves continue to be highly competitive, and with growing public interest and attention on the impacts of all fields of global agriculture, we know it is important for the journal to evolve along with the ever-changing landscapes of the field of CABI Agriculture and Bioscience.
In 2022, manuscripts submitted that year had a first decision within 51 days and a final decision of 93 days. Reducing turnaround times in peer review continues to be a priority for the journal in 2023.
At the end of 2022, CABI Agriculture & Bioscience was accepted in Clarivate's Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and we are excited to announce that our first Impact Factor is 3.9, placing us in the first quartile of Agriculture, Multidisciplinary. At the start of 2023, we were also accepted in Scopus.
We therefore want to highlight some things will be of particular interest to our readers and authors.
