BPSC AE Exam Pattern
The BPSC AE exam pattern for civil, electrical, and mechanical is released for two papers. Paper 1 is compulsory while paper 2 is optional in which candidates can choose the subject as per the engineering discipline studied during graduation. - All the questions in the BPSC AE exam will be set in English and Hindi.
- General Hindi and General English papers will be qualifying in nature where you will have to score at least 30 marks in each paper to qualify.
- The BPSC AE exam will have only objective-type questions i.e. multiple choice questions.
- The exam will be conducted for 1 hr for each subject paper.
- There will be a penalty for each wrong answer of 0.25 per wrong answer in the BPSC AE Exam.

BPSC AE Syllabus 2023
The syllabus for BPSC AE 2023 exam is divided into two parts. There are two papers, the first is compulsory while the second is optional. In Paper 1, the compulsory subjects common to all the candidates include General Hindi, General English, General Studies and General Engineering Science.
Paper 2 is optional where candidates can choose a subject from Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering on the basis of their Bachelor degree. Candidates must refer to the complete BPSC AE syllabus to devise a nice study plan and work on it to pass the exam with good marks.
BPSC AE Selection Process
The selection process for BPSC Assistant Engineer will be conducted through a written examination and interview. The written test will consist of 4 compulsory papers and 2 optional papers. The optional paper has to be selected by the candidates according to their educational qualification. After qualifying the written examination, shortlisted candidates will be called for appearing in the interview.
- The compulsory papers for BPSC AE are General Engineering Science, General English, General Hindi, General Studies.
- The optional papers for BPSC AE are Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
- Interview is the last stage of the recruitment process in which candidates who qualify will be called for document verification.
BPSC AE Admit Card 2023
BPSC AE admit card for the written exam will released for the eligible candidates. It will be releaseed a few days before the BPSC AE exam date. All the candidates are required to download the call letter to appear in the written exam. They have to log in their account to download the admit card. The admit card comprises important details like candidate’s name, roll number, application number, exam date, exam venue, and other details.
BPSC AE Result 2023
The BPSC AE result will be released by the concerned authority of Bihar Public Service Commission. Candidates who will appear for the BPSC AE exam can download the result and check whether they have qualified or not. To check the result they will require their application number and password. The concerned authority will not share the resutlt of BPSC AE 2023 in any mode other than online. After result declaration, candidates will be called for appearing in the interview.
