Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy more mature and confident going into Year 2

Earlier this offseason, Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio said wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is more focused and diligent this offseason than he was as a rookie. The second-year receiver seems to agrees with his coach’s assessment.

“I feel like I’ve matured,” Jeudy said on June 1. “You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into your first year of doing something. This is my second year and I feel like I have learned a lot from my first year. I know how to overcome whatever I had in past years to make this year better.”

Fangio believes Jeudy used a bounce-back performance late last season to propel him into the 2021 season.

“I just see a more mature wide receiver, both in his approach, in everything off the field meaning meetings, preparation,” Fangio said on June 16. “I see a more mature, confident wide receiver on the practice field.

“I think it goes back to some of it back to what happened between the 15th and 16th game last year, where he had a bad game and was able to come back with a good game. I think that was a big moment in his career. I think it’s catapulting him into where he’s at right now.”

After catching 52 passes for 856 yards and three touchdowns last season, a more mature, focused and confident Jeudy will aim to have a big Year 2.
