Ruby Fever

Ilona Andrews are my favorite author. This book, like others I’ve purchased from them, was absolutely a delight. I continue to love the family dynamic in the Hidden Legacy series and the character development from book to book always gets better. One of my favorite things about the relationships in all Ilona Andrews books is the grown-up, adult, mature human reactions to any conflict. The characters may fight or have a bad day or get angry — real emotions! — but when they do, each character goes out of their way to have an adult conversation to resolve it. This is so rare in books! I love being able to pick up any Ilona Andrews book and trust that even if the two main characters have a fight, there won’t be any pouting or drama for the sake of drama. Any argument will be about a real issue that deserves a conversation between two rational adults and will be a vehicle to resolve the conflict and get back to the plot. And of course, the world building is second to none. Highly recommend this book, but if you’re new to the series start at the beginning! You’ll be glad you did. Loved it. Absolutely loved it.

Catalina’s story began like her: shyly looking from the corners of Nevada’s life. Then she had to step up and through her trilogy we saw her grow, evolve, discover herself, find love … and so much more. This finale is simply brilliant like only Ilona Andrews can deliver! Can we get Arabella’s trilogy now, please… pretty please!

A wonderful way to end the series! I hope there are more Hidden Legacies books in the future but they did a great job at tying up loose ends while keeping the door open for Arabella books later on.
