Mozilla is proud to announce the 25 honorees for The 2nd Annual Rise25 Awards<\/em>, which will celebrate these individuals for leading the next wave of AI \u2014 using philanthropy, collective power, and the principles of open source to make sure the future of AI is responsible, trustworthy, inclusive and centered around human dignity. This year\u2019s cohort will be honored during a special ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, August 13<\/strong> at the Convention Centre <\/strong>in Dublin, Ireland<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s finalists were selected out of hundreds of nominees across five categories. Five winners were selected for each of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advocates <\/em><\/strong>\u2013<\/em> <\/em><\/strong>Guiding AI towards a responsible future<\/em>
These are the policymakers, activists, and thinkers ensuring AI is developed ethically, inclusively, and transparently. This category also includes those who are adept at translating complex AI concepts for the broader public \u2014 including journalists, content creators, and cultural commentators. They champion digital rights and accessible AI, striving to make AI a force for societal good.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
