Congressional Award

THE CONGRESSIONAL AWARD

The Congressional Award was established in 1979 by the United States Congress to recognize initiative, service, and achievement in young people.

The Congressional Award is open to all youth in the United States between the ages of 14 and 24. The program is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive.

Prospective participants may earn a reward by setting and achieving goals in the four program areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.

Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Medals based on their goal setting level.
