Password Change

Password Policy Requirements

(SOA Users Only)

*WARNING* Only authorized users may access this system. Unauthorized access/tampering is punishable under Alaska Criminal Statutes AS11.46.200, AS11.46.484, AS11.46.740. All access, access attempts, and tampering is logged.

  • Passwords have a minimum allowed length of 8 characters* and are case sensitive.
  • Passwords must contain all 4 of the following character types:
    • upper case characters: A through Z
    • lower case characters: a through z
    • digits: 0 through 9
    • special characters: ~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
  • Passwords cannot contain a space.
  • Passwords cannot be set to one of the last 24 previously used passwords.
  • Passwords can only be changed once per any 24 hour period.
*A minimum length of 14 characters is required for Department of Revenue Tax Division, Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division, Department of Labor and Workforce Development and other SOA IRS 1075 applicable users.
