Unlike traditional news aggregators, which utilize crowd-sourcing and algorithms that reward clickbait and reinforce pre-existing bias, Ground News helps users understand the news objectively based on media bias, geographic location, and time.
Ground News is the world’s first news comparison platform that will help voters make better-informed decisions, drawing from more than 40,000 news sources worldwide and featuring an average of 30,000 news stories per day.
Also, included in the Mac app is our new Safari extension. Try out Ground News Bias Checker for Safari. Whenever you read a news article, our browser extension will show you who else is covering the same news story and compare how other sources from all across the political spectrum are reporting on it.
About Ground News subscriptions purchased within the Ground News app:
• Subscription renews annually, and you'll be able to manage this subscription in your App Store account under the 'Ground News' subscription
• Payment will be charged to your App Store Account on confirmation of purchase
• Your membership subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period
• Membership subscriptions can be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase

Get the facts for yourself!
This app is how I get my news and I highly recommend it! Media today lacks transparency and trust as it's often polarizing and sensationalist. Media outlets are always pushing different narratives and it can be confusing to understand what's really hapening. With Ground News, I can go to one place to see coverage from both the left and the right. This way, I can get the facts for myself and discover the truth. I also really like the Blindspot feed, which is something I've only seen with Ground News. I highly reccomend you share this app with your friends and family as it's a great way to build bridges with people who think differently.
Context is EVERYTHING and this app shines a clear light on it!
I love this approach to news. I've come to realize every news source has (a) its bias, and (b) its level of commitment to journalistic factuality. This context is EVERYTHING, and this app visually provides the contextual lens through which each news article is written. For each news story, you get to see the spread of news sources covering it, and then diving in, how each one choses to tell the story. Even the difference in headlines is telling and revealing. HIGHLY useful to anyone really wanting to understand the world.
Fair and Balanced
Ground News offers a perspective on the news that I've found nowhere else -- it shares with readers how today's news stories are presented (or not) by a wide range of news sources across the political spectrum. Ground News doesn't take sides or promote a perspective, but it gives insight into biases, intentional or not, from a wide and global range of news providers. It gives me an understanding of how information is presented to the public -- and that's new in itself.
