After a first month of personalisation it's super easy to use!

We wanted a very simple app in lieu of our failing google keep file that kept rearranging the items (so title dairy sometimes got 10 sub-items from the category pantry for no reason).

Our groceries does all this and more! You have one master list and you can have multiple mini lists that automatically include the categories of items. It's easy to add list for specific recipes, or for specific people. When our baby was learning how to eat solids I had a list dedicated to his food and whenever I felt out of ideas I just checked the crossed off items and immediately had loads of options. You have small adds in the free version but a permanent add-free purchase is available and I highly recommend it! I love adding unobtrusive notes in the descriptions of items for my husband such as specifying favourite brands or letting him know the minimal expiry date we need for a specific item. In my "sweet snacks that go with coffee" I have all our favourite sweet snacks listed in the notes and he can choose whichever that are on sale. In our "cheese for grating" we have our favourite types of cheese and I can include the minimum fat percentage I desire. Same for "fancy cheeses" for charcuterie boards, I name the specific ones we love and at the end even include some we have tried and didn't love to remind the both of ys to steer away from them. All in all super easy and flexible app.

Developers if you're reading, I would enjoy some advanced features that you could enable in the settings, such as adding another masterlist (and be able to use the app even for non-grocery shopping). If I could just select which MasterList applies to which shopping list each time I create a new one it would vastly expand my use. I don't quite want to mix my screws, furniture and detergents with my food options.

Another advanced feature I'd love is to be able to select items from the list and move them to a "didn't have" category on the bottom of all the lists but above the crossed off items. This way it's easy to skip the items mentally especially if going to a store that doesn't hold such an item but at the same time not forgetting that it was on the list and is still missing in the pantry. I can easily imagine this feature also being adapted to hold optional items for example for items to be bought "in case they're on sale". I understand the desire for simplicity, but at the same time once one is familiar with it, it would be brilliant to have more features!
