Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current payment period.

Because I have possibility to choose learn more languages in one price :-)
Not a great app to learn words or a language.
All the lessons are clearly generated with AI, so in every lesson you will have the same pattern of sentenses and questions, which limits what you learn. The repetition of words is not nearly as good as in Duolingo - in every lesson, mondly tries to teach like 8-14 new words, which is just too many for me. I would rather have 3-5 words per lesson and repeat it many times in a lesson.
Daily lessons have no correlation with the words you learned already. Every week there is a slighly new topic, but the sentenses are typically difficult, and again after you finish the lesson, you will not practice those words again.
At first I liked the fact that the learning is separated into topics like food, weather, travel, etc. But there is no continuity in learning, everything is just a bit random.
Lastly, mondly provides you the answer before you can think for yourself, which for me seems like a bad idea if you want to learn something. Say you need to translate a sentense from English to X language, there will be text written in english, Mondly will say that sentense in X language and your task remains to just tap on the option below written in X language. No thinking required. This happens in like 80% of tasks within a lesson. You may also have pictures that give away the meaning of words.
All in all, the app is not suited for learning. I am dissapointed for buying a 12 month subscription..

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the Mondly experience but we can understand if the way Mondly teaches a language is not appropriate for you.
The Mondly content has been created by linguists and native professionals. Our lessons are designed to introduce content through a variety of tasks that target all language skills. Repetition is used within the lesson and throughout the entire content to reinforce learning and improve retention. Moreover, learners have the flexibility to review learned content at any time through the word lists available for every completed lesson.
Regarding the organization of materials, we opted for a topical approach so learners can easily prioritize their focus areas. The content is practical and relevant, and several structures are integrated across different categories. However, we will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve our content.
As for your last concern, we use pictures, text, and audio to introduce new words. After that, the words are placed in various contexts and types of exercises. Also, you can turn off the auto-play voice at any time in the app settings.
