Good for its release

I believe it’s a good app on first release! But as said on the reddit thread regarding the features and tools as well as other users that commented, i think it needs more where Procreate is known for like selection/lasso for objects in a content or group, autoshape, undo and redo buttons, and layers etc.

I also dont like where the app has a cool edit selection tool that has grouping and readjusting the length of the content or group but you cant move all of them at once. You have to move them one by one and it’s just not time-efficient. To add to moving frames, it’s difficult to find where the last frame is when you move one frame in between two frames when the last frame is at the group’s end! Like i have to stretch the group to find the last frame. Instead of making it adjust farther away to the point where it’s no longer visible, why not adjust the time length of the group/content?

I also have encountered a bug where audio doesnt work when you switch to another app which really bugs me because i have to go back, close the app, and open it for it to work again.

Look, I’m fascinated that I have Procreate dreams, that I no longer have to do animatics on the OG procreate [heck I even love the importation of procreate animation assisted files to Dreams] but please fix problems that cause inefficiency because it ruins the joy of creating and editing in the app.

needs alot more polishing

when messing around with the app, I find it very pleasing to use (half the time), it is also compared to another animation program called toonsquid. I think if you do a merge with the dev of toonsquid, both of you can significantly improve the app. I will list some of my complaints: 1. Undoing will undo more than one action (which is irritating) 2. No lasso tool (people gotta make adjustments you know) 3. The timeline feature is not explained well enough (like the tips and tricks on how to use it) 4. Brushes are not editable (it is annoying to have to import every single brush from procreate) 5. Minimal tutorials 6. Still need a lot more features from procreate. 7. I use and actual ruler to make straight lines even when theres a ruler tool, will that scratch my screen?

In terms of the bulk undo behaviour, we would recommend increasing your Stored Undo Steps in Procreate Dreams by heading into any movies > Movie Settings(tap the Movie Title) > Preference > Stored Undo Steps. This should give you more refined control over your undo history and reduce the chances of running into the bulk undo behaviour. In terms of tutorials and guides, we would highly recommend checking out our Help Centre help.procreate.com first. You can find our Procreate Dreams Handbook, as well as other articles that we have specifically prepared to help you get familiar with Procreate Dreams. In regard to using a physical ruler on the device, it is sadly not within our expertise so we are unable to provide accurate advice. We would recommend reaching out to Apple and seeking further clarification on this matter. As for your other suggestions, we will take them on board for consideration for future developments and we look forward to bringing you a better experience in future versions of Procreate.

I really like that we now have an option for a very affordable animation program however there are several things that I hope would be fixed and added. I really hope you’d add quickshape, lasso tool, and layering options while on flipbook like option to switch layers on flipbook and do clipping mask, and alpha lock really soon because that is going to be really helpful. I also noticed that the colors are getting lighter and lighter as I add more frame. Like for example I will choose black and 4 or 5 frames later it will be grey and few more frames later it will be a much lighter grey. I hope this will get fixed because it’s annoying. I’ll probably change my rating to 5 if these are added or gets fixed. Loving it so far though just lacking a few features.
