Where is the security on this app?
Uhhh.. Excuse me? Where is the security of this app? I felt so unsafe having this app have my money knowing that when you open the app, you have all access on the functions and everything on it. And for the record, this is the only bank app where it does not provide pin and such before you can have all access on it. This is the most basic feature a money app should have and this doesn’t have. Have this fixed already!!
Dark and misleading user experience and marketing.
I downloaded the app because of the 12% promo they were promoting. I registered and submitted all KYC requirements correctly and proceeded to deposit my hard earned money there. After a month, no interest was credited to my account and when I asked their customer service, they said it’s because I had to move my deposit from their “OwnBasic” to their “OwnIt” account because only the latter earns interest. It was my first time hearing about the OwnBasic because no where in their app, their Terms/Conditions, website was this mentioned. It seems they’ve conveniently left this out, maybe so that they can take and earn from our money without paying off the interest. I’ve already moved my money outside to other banks that are more transparent with their products and communications. The bank itself seems shady and claims to have years of reputation but their digital operations only started a few months ago I believe.
Account Number is hard to find
I like the app. It is intuitive. However, I’m having a hard time in finding my account number.
Yes, there is a QR generator. But sometimes, I need the account number because the other banks requires me to manually enter the account details such as account number and account name.
