Description

Sick of Facebook, but need it to stay in touch? Enjoy YouTube, but find yourself falling down the video rabbit-hole?

Want to block an entire website on all Apple devices?

Just #blockit. Keep the good, block the bad.

#blockit uses a revolutionary new approach to regaining your focus. Instead of blocking an entire website, #blockit surgically removes only the distracting parts of the site (such as the Facebook News Feed) and leaves the rest of the website untouched and available (like notifications, events, friends, messenger, and more).

WORKS ON*
• Facebook.com
• YouTube.com
• Instagram.com
• LinkedIn.com
• Twitter.com
• Reddit.com

FEATURES*
• Block just the distracting parts of websites, and keep the rest
• Customise to your liking (e.g. only block Stories)
• Block any website based on its URL
• iCloud sync all settings and websites to iPhone, iPad, and Mac
• Works for iPhone and iPad in all orientations
• Dark Mode enabled
• Enjoy privacy knowing #blockit works on device and no information is sent to a server
• Available on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS via a single subscription

Greyed Out

Hello, why I can't turn on the content blockers on my Safari? It's greyed out.

Developer Response ,

Hey, it looks like there are some restrictions on your device, you may or may not be able to change these:

1. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions (enter your passcode if required).

2. Scroll down to the Content Restrictions section.

3. In Content Restrictions, go to Web Content.

4. You'll need to set it to Unrestricted Access in order to activate #blockit. Alternatively, you can just turn Content & Privacy Restrictions off.

You should now be able to turn on #blockit extensions in Settings > Safari > Content Blockers.

Unfortunately I have no control over how these settings work, since it is controlled by Apple.

I hope you can take the time to reevaluate #blockit given this information, as low star reviews really hurt the app :(
