Don't get this app! Temu are world renowned for mining your data. They offer ridiculously cheap prices and up to 90% discounts. Think about it, would you go to a shop or even reputable site and expect such cheap prices? No. They are doing it to reel all you phishies (pun intended) in so they can steal your data. Just like TikTok, only worse because their prices are all too tempting to especially boomers who didn't grow up with Internet and smartphones, so don't know how to stay safe out there. I'm Gen X and I didn't grow up with Internet or cellphones either but we did get some exposure, and now with my studies I am learning cybersecurity.
Trust me, I'm a (non-practicing) scientist, and now a third year IT student. I've been around the block a few times and I know all the tricks. Plus items that cheap, again think about it, some poor 8 year old in China is lucky if they're getting 1c for making that. Like that ad campaign on here at the moment, have a hmmm. Yes I admit I downloaded the app, that was an accident, when I clicked on one of those super prolific ads when Temu was new, then I must've clicked to see more about the thing, and next thing it was downloading. As soon as I saw the price a few cents I thought scam, then I was hearing from people that no, the items arrive. I have not, nor will I ever, buy from Temu.

I’ve been on Temu for a few months now. It’s very addictive, the only thing that really basses me off is you get a text saying hurry now to get your reward and you go there and it says too late so I find that a bit odd, then I just sent an order off and it said do you want to add to your order? If so don’t go ahead. You can do a one click by now so I went to do that because I wanted some earbuds and it was within like a minute of placing my order and it said the options now been cancelled. It was within a minute of paying for my items and they cancelled my option to have a one click pay. That really brass me off because I do buy a lot on Temu. I’ve never got anything free and I feed those fish, oh my goodness those fish and anyway I don’t get anywhere and then on, the part where you can invite people, I’ve been invited so many people on Messenger. I’ve been told by Facebook to stop doing it because people are complaining and a friend of mine is being told she can’t do that anymore as well. There’s only so many people you can invite and I have got some new people onto it. I still didn’t get, any prize or anything.
