Welcome aboard the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) app where you can top up your myki, plan your journey, get travel alerts and more.

The PTV app lets you plan your journey using trains, trams, and buses, making travel around Melbourne and Victoria simple and convenient.

Create an account and register your myki for added security. You can also schedule auto top up so you are always ready to travel.

Personalise the app by saving your favourite routes and stops and get real time notification alerts for your preferred stops and journeys.

- myki top up: Hold your myki to the back of your phone to check your balance and top up instantly

- Apple Pay: Pay with Apple Pay for myki Money and myki Pass

- Account management: Keep track of your mykis and easily access their balance, expiry dates, transactions, and travel history

- Auto top up: Set up auto top up to ensure you always have sufficient balance on your myki

- Alerts: Stay informed of disruptions to your journey, news and myki

- Real time information: Get real time departure information for upcoming services

- Live tracking: Watch your service arrive at any stop (available for bus and train only)

- Favourites: Save your favourite stops, lines, journeys, and addresses for fast access

- Reminders: Set journey planner reminders for leaving on time

- Search: Look for destinations, stops, routes and myki outlets, or use your current location to search for nearby transport options.

Update of digital information for Frankston, Werribee, and Williamstown lines and bug fixes.

PTV app

The App needs a serious overhaul. You can only register with an Australia phone number so no visitors or tourists welcome.

The app can not register payments from any cards from NZ so once again the service doesn’t cater for anyone not from here.

Sad thing as it would have been great to have been able to use the service. No top up services available at multiple stores. Only able to top up at train stations and very few tram stations.

PT APP

TWO WORDS: HORRIBLE APP!! The old metlink app was so much better than this. Not user friendly at all. On no level does this even come close to what metlink had to offer. Difficult to navigate & close to impossible to get any sort of accurate information easily. The frustration from using this app will be the end of my iphone fo sure. Glad to hear so many others feel the same. If i could rate 0 stars i would!

Must have this app

As a first time visitor to Melbourne, this app is simply awesome! Only thing I'd suggest would be to be able to open a map stop in google maps from the trip planner directions, so we know where to walk to.
