Better than top priced competitors
I purchased these after my $400 Sony buds stopped charging. So I had a direct comparison between the two brands. These JBL’s have great endurance. I have actually had a solid 10 hours out of these things, whereas my Sonys were good for 70 minutes at the most. I thought I would miss the in-ear bud form-factor but these airbuds form-factor ones are just as steady while working out. The only down side is that the active noise cancelling is not quite as effective as the Sony. However, I would still choose these given a choice. Price wise: half the cost of my old ones!
Ok
The app is ok, but I don’t like that I can’t set the same ‘tap’ functions for both the left and right head ear buds. I now only use the right one (I only ever have one in) since it’s what I have setup to be turned off / on. Also the tracking function is lame. I have been using earbud style headphones for a decade now and I have NEVER lost an individual earbud. I do however CONSTANTLY lose the case with the earbuds inside. Which means I cannot track them - ever. Personally, I think the case should either have its own tracking function or you should be able to activate the ear buds without removing them from the case. For me this is a total deal breaker - I would actually prefer poorer sound quality over an inability to locate me headphones. Once I have lost my current set (inevitable), I will never buy an untraceable pair again.
Good
Good app all things considered, only complaint is that I keep ANC off all the time, which means every time I power on my headphones I have to go into the app and manually turn it off cause it doesn’t save the settings.
