Great app but I’m confused

I’ve had flo for a few years now and I really like it! It’s great for me as I have very irregular periods and it really helps me to stay on track and learn more about my periods. I am slightly confused though because a couple months ago, I got a pop up on the app that told me since I have been a loyal premium member for a number of years, my premium subscription will now be free forever. But I still keep getting pop ups telling me that I need to renew my subscription? I’m very confused as I was paying $27 a year but then told it was going to be free and now the app is telling me I have to pay $25 every 6 months?? What is going on? I live in New Zealand so the amount I pay could differ to others.

On the nose about all the wrong things

I used Flo a few years back and it was really good just as a very simply period tracker. I downloaded it again about middle of last year and paid for premium as I started having issues with my cycle and contraceptive, and very quickly I started noticing the notifications were very bang on, even though I hadn’t even been tracking for two months. Then when I had a conversation with my doctor and progesterone was briefly mentioned, I had a notification shortly after mentioning progesterone levels. Another example was when I woke up one morning and had a terrible nights sleep, which was due to discontinuing a mediation, I mentioned it to my Dad and sure enough had a notification very quickly saying something along the lines of ‘Bad nights sleep? Here’s why’. And sure enough the pattern continued, even after I stopped using the app because of it. I’m sure it’s a very thorough and well-thought out app but the possibility of it making predictions and suggesting articles based on conversations I had had relating to something completely other than my period, was concerning enough to unsubscribe… $70 later.

Great app! Recommend, but may need a little touch up

I have been using this app for the last 1-2 years and have recently in the last 11 months have gone on the contraceptive, the rod. This app has been really helpful to put in all my notes and symptoms about my cycle through the years. It is also very easy to use and be able to see all the information I’ve put in. Have recommend to my friends that they should use this app, many have.
Just as some feedback, it does not allow me to put into my information that I have gone on the rod. I would recommend putting a feature in where people are able to put in other types of contraceptive and not just the pill, as the rod completely up ended my period cycle. I think it would be helpful for the app to at least know why I have a completely irregular cycle and that I am not pregnant.

Thank you for choosing Flo! The app will know which contraception you use after you set reminders for it. This can be done via Menu - Reminders - Contraception (on) - Type - Select the type you use.
