Description
SOS Autoroute: your on-board emergency call point!
In the event of a breakdown, accident or events/objects to report, you won't need to leave your car any more to walk to the nearest emergency roadside telephone.
SOS Autoroute is a free app that connects you quickly to the nearest security station to report an emergency or an unusual event.
All calls are answered manually by a human operator who exchanges with you on the phone, determining your position and your situation on the motorway.
To optimise the intervention of the emergency services, SOS Autoroute finds your position using geolocation and transmits information about your vehicle that has been registered previously (up to 3 vehicles can be registered).
The application works on APRR, AREA, SANEF, SAPN, ATMB, SFTRF, ADELAC, A’LIENOR, CEVM, ALIAE and ATLANDES. If you are not on one of these networks, you’ll be redirected to the emergency number 112. The app will soon be updated, making it work on other motorways!
SOS Autoroute works in 5 languages: French, English, Italian, Spanish and German and there is also a video explaining how it works in sign language. This application has the Proxima Mobile label (free general-interest service recognised by the state).
You can also share your comments and suggestions on voyage.aprr.fr under Help & Contact.

Application mal configurée Impossible de s'inscrire depuis l'étranger avant de partir sur les routes françaises Pas étonnant que beaucoup de personnel des autoroutes se font hélas tués quand on voit comment les gestionnaires de cette appli l'ont conçu

As I’m sure with many APRR badge users, our French home is a frequent “secondaire” destination; it is not our main residence. We don’t have a French mobile phone. If some restrictions are necessary, then at least allow the neighbouring countries, from where most of the frequent travellers will come from...
Only for French phone numbers
App available in four languages. But can only register a phone number using the French international country code (+33). Therefore the app is irrelevant and unusable for anyone without a French phone number.
