Description

Got tired of annoying robocalls, telemarketers and phone scammers? Just define phone number prefixes and block up to 150 million numbers!

Forget about unwanted calls and spammers spoofing tricks. No registration, no user data collection. WideProtect works completely offline.

There are two ways to add new prefix in the app:
1) quick one - open incoming call in Phone app, tap on action "Share Contact", then tap on action "Block in WideProtect" and then remove several last digits of phone number;
2) classic one - in the application, tap on "+" button, choose Country and check if phone number length is correct, then type several digits of phone number to block.

The latest version supports blocking up to 150,000,000 phone numbers - whole 15 area codes in the USA!
You can find short video manual on Help screen.

WideProtect is free to download. A subscription is required to use the application, but you can try it out completely free for 3-7 days (depends on subscription plan).
The app supports Family Sharing.

Please don't forget to give permissions to block numbers to all 75 WideProtect extensions through 'iPhone Settings -> Phone -> Call Blocking & Identification'.

WideProtect was mentioned on:

IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- Do not remove the app from iPhone memory while it's updating blocking list - but you can do it after updating.
- Blocked calls may be forwarded to voicemail, as it works on mobile operator side (contact your mobile operator for details).
- If you use 'Do Not Disturb' mode, blocked calls may appear silently on Home screen and in Recently list - to avoid it disable DND mode.
- Sometimes iOS does not display WideProtect extensions in iPhone Settings immediately - in this case just add needed prefix to the app, then wait for 1-2 minutes, and then go to iPhone Settings.
- WideProtect functionality is available via auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase, subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period, account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal, subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.

Why?

I just installed this app, and its paid version, i dont know if its working or not but if i dont get calls from that series which i have blocked i would know.
Why there are so many wide protect extentions with numbers in call blocking and identification??
Plus turning those on at same time makes phone go hang.
Is this app even safe , because there is no point of having multiple extensions in call blocking and identification section.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your review, the reason why you see 25 WideProtects is that iOS allows to block only up to 2 millions numbers by one extension. So I have added 25 extensions to block up to 50 millions numbers.
You can enable all of them (they are not taking memory or energy), and they will be used when needed. Also the app tells you how many extensions you should enable to block all numbers you want.

If you have other questions, please write me email (support@v-and.com), it's more comfortable than reply inside a review. Thanks!

Saved me from months of frustration

I was getting robocalls from 3 area codes of US. Frequency was 25-30 calls a day for past 3 months and all those were from different numbers, so blocking those numbers wasn’t a solution.
The prefix feature provided by the app is awesome. I just added those three area codes to the block list since then I didn’t get a single robo calls from these area codes. For a one time payment of 3$ this app is way better than anything out there.
Thankyou guys. Keep up the good work.
Those who gave 1 rating probably don’t know how to use it 😛

Developer Response ,

Thank you very much for your review!

Amanshu Kataria ,

I loved it. So helpful

I was fed up of all the spam calls, specifically the ones from range of numbers. I did a google search and found this app and since then I haven’t received calls from these spammers who have range of numbers.

Developer Response ,

Thank you very much for your review, glad that the app is helping you!
