Ad blocker and fast browsing — The Ecosia app is based on Mozilla’s Firefox and gives you an intuitive, fast and secure browsing experience with everything you need, including tabs, incognito mode, bookmarks, downloads, and dark mode. We also show a green leaf beside your results that are pro-environment, helping you make greener choices whilst you search.

Nice and simple
I like how you’re clear and open about your objective. You’re making a browser that’s good enough to create a pleasant user experience for the average person, while at the same time not making half-assed attempts at creating extravagant features to try and compete with the big guys. Because at the end of the day you’re just trying to focus on planting trees.
May I suggest though, adding at least some features that people are used to as second-nature on other browsers. Like the swipe action to go back to the previous page. And dark mode for night time use.
Never Switching Back!
I just moved to Ecosia from Safari and I don’t think I’m switching back anytime soon! Love the transparency and information that you provide to the users. I would really appreciate if I could have an option to move the search bar to the bottom like it is in Safari. Everything else is amazing!
Go Green With Ecosia
Great browser! I have been using it for 2 years and faced no issues. It’s a promising initiative that helps you to contribute to the fight against environmental degradation without even as much as moving from your place. The only drawback is that it does not as of yet have as much grip on the internet as older search engines. And so of course it needs to branch out more and offer a wider, accurate range of search results (which I hope it will). The interface is extremely user-friendly, looks fun and interactive. Keep up the good work Team Ecosia!
