What’s new
• Has raking the autumn leaves gotten you in the organizational spirit? Good news, then: You can now create, rename, and delete your custom sections from the Home tab! Just long-press on the section name to see the brand-new suite of options.
Bug fixes
• If you’ve ever called someone the wrong name, and then immediately wanted to take it back, our bug preventing you from deleting @mentions in your messages may have hit a little close to home. Call it an update, a resolution, a mending of what was broken — a fix by any other name would sound as sweet.
Ratings and Reviews
Notifications badge is broken
The app is good. I like almost everything about the app itself. However, the notification badge is broken and it's quite frustrating. It'll often say I have notifications even when I have already seen those messages on my work laptop. I'm guessing it just doesn't check to get rid of the badge once a notification is received. I'd love for this to be fixed properly.

Reliable and easy to use
I went from using Skype for Business to this. The difference was night and day. For a start, Slack actually works, notifies me and doesn’t crash. My standards were probably set low to start with but Slack does what it says on the tin
Bye Bye Email
Slack has definitely over taken email in our company; in fact in engineering slack is the only tool we use to discuss our work via slack channels or direct messages. Plus slack is constantly evolving with new ideas & features; and for features we don’t use they’re not intrusive so that’s okay.
