Poetics is a visual poetry app, created to develop the concepts of mutable, object-oriented poetry and decentralized art.
The app is an ongoing project created by Seth Indigo Carnes, an artist based in New York City. Poetics is used in over 150 countries, across languages and cultures, and in schools to teach a variety of subjects.

BE VERY CAREFUL.. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS
I downloaded this apps based on a written reviewed in an article that I get from google search. Within seconds, I feel disappointed for downloading this apps at the first place.
Don’t make the same mistake like me.
Here’s my experience with this Apps: Just by downloading this apps, I already have to pay IDR 49.000, then after downloaded, just when I want to start and try it, it keeps asking me to pay another extra payment for whatever that I click in this apps. I have tried to choose picture, text, filter, all will only make the apps stops with a notification to unlocked it with extra payment.. Can’t imagine, just for 1 basic font (avenir) I have to pay extra IDR 16.000????? How many fonts would you expect me to pay !!?
I have deleted this apps and my reco is final: DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS TO YOUR PHONE

This doesn’t sound like the way the app works at all, so I think you either experienced a bug, or used it in a strange way. Please send a report of these issues if interested to help sort them out.
Fyi, the app is priced at a set amount, which comes with 10 filters and 1 font. The original version of the app only had one font, American Typewriter, the basis of many artworks in this series.
All nine of of the new curated fonts feature histories and context researched and written by me. None of them must be purchased to use the font in its original form. They are just there for people who are interested to expand and use them.
In the same way, there are 10 other filters people
can purchase, if interested, with no obligation.
This is an app made by a very small team focused on a specific art and poetic practice. It may not suit you or others who download Poetics. There is always the option to get a refund, and I encourage you or others who don’t like what they discover to do so.
