The app is broken

Unfortunatly my app is broken , not connecting to the car, I dont know what is the problem. I downloaded again and I try many option. Two days ago still worked.

unreliable app, often disconnects user, completely lose trips

While enjoying to use my excellent HEV Corolla 2024 so much, this app makes me mad. Hard to understand why the app disconnects time to time with error message 'your profile cannot be synchronized'. Then user must enter the myapp password again using the navi screen, but, the details of prev. trip got lost. Unfortunately, even with no password and sync issues some trips data still lost. Like today I cannot find 2 trips out of 4 I just drove. The Development effort and cost of a smartphone app is not comparable to the long development of such a complicated and well matured product as a hybrid vehicle Toyota corolla, one of the best, modern passenger vehicle one can buy. Why not engage a professional app developer team to do this job? It is a pity that this stupid connection and replication issues cause disappointment for the owner. Think about those would like to export and analyse drive information, or those must record business trips electronically. Please, consider.

One of the known reasons for missing trips for Toyota Smart Connect (HeadUnit) equipped vehicles is, when user profile is not synced with the head unit. If driving one, please ensure that your profile is recognized by the head unit and then proceed with driving or accept the Terms of Use (Blue screen). Improvements needed

Communication with the car is very slow. I don’t know if it’s the server’s speed or the car’s response, but it takes 30-60 seconds to activate e.g. the hazard lights remotely. I have 1GB/s internet at home with WiFi6 router, so the problem is not on my side. Beside that there’s a huge security issue. You have the option in the app settings to use FaceID for security, but it only works when the app is already running in the background, app starting doesn’t require unlocking. You can use the new feature of iOS 18, where you lock apps with FaceID, but if it’s enabled then the app opens with status bar set to dark mode (when the text is white), and you can’t see it on the white background.
