Very nice
Another lovely app, the original is one of my favourite and most used. No.2 is basically more polished, nicer graphics etc. but from my experience so far, doesn't really add much to the original. Now I've not downloaded to my iPad yet, only my iPhone 4s. I'll probably delete no.2 and stick with the original until I upgrade to the iPhone 6, as the original runs smoother on the 4s. You can't blame Vito for pushing the technology, (it does state "optimised for iPhone 5"), but I'd rather continue enjoying the original with everything turned up to max , than this turned down to half to run smooth. If you didn't get the original, buy this and adjust the graphics to suit your phone. If you have the original on a 4/4s, I'd wait for now.
EDIT: As of iPhone 8, and soon iPad Pro 11”, version 2 has surpassed the original. It’s not cheap for the full package, but well worth it and great value

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. It is highly appreciated.
Excellent sky guide
I’ve used this app for a few years now, and the original one before that. Both are excellent apps and extremely good value for money. Not sure what a star is? Point your phone at it and Star Walk tells you what it is, giving very detailed information said star or planet. I particularly love the ability to see the constellations from different angles, like from the side. It helps your visualise how the stars of the constellation are actually situated in space! I’ve found a few surprises myself. I can’t recommend this app highly enough, it has never crashed on me, and of course, I got rid of the ads years ago, it was definitely worth every penny! Happy star gazing.
Great, 1 little problem.....
The app is wonderful! Very clever. I can put the app into camera view, and it recognises objects and didn’t show stars through them ie. trees, and houses, so you get the true “looking into space” feel. 1 gripe..... for some reason, when I look at the moon (tilt the camera toward the sky) the whole star overlay moves clockwise..... which throws the alignment out, and I have to exit and restart the app to get this to stabilize, which is slightly embarrassing when trying to show the great app to others! Can it be fixed? Otherwise it would have been 5. Such an in depth view of space, I even found satellites orbiting Jupiter and lander ones on mars! Impressive. Highly recommended!
