Ratings and Reviews
Loads to improve
The idea is fantastic.
I still don’t understand why 3 letters daily are mentioned, I keep getting constant feed. I don’t see what premium version gives you, it is sooo unclear.
The app is terrible, notifications doesn’t work properly, new messages doesn’t appear, you have to switch between daily and inbox few times. All the time I send and get unintended friend request, I don’t even know what I clicked, and I get the same feedback from other users. Responses are not indicated on the inbox list, no preview or any kind of marking, you have to check convos one by one to see which one got the reply!
Do the devs even use the app? It sometimes give a vibe of being made by high schoolers.

Thank you for your feedback. We are working on improving some of the areas you mentioned
Good idea ruined by capitalism
I never write reviews, but this app is genuinely awful and has made me feel terrible about myself.
I have written long and genuine responses back, only to receive messages from people asking me how old I was, telling me that I should go to therapy, and that my therapist isn’t good enough. Or I just get a bunch of emojis in response to a letter where I talk about a traumatic relationship. Are you serious? I’m 29, I do go to therapy, and my therapist is brilliant.
This is supposed to be a non-judgemental place, but it feels belittling and self-righteous. You’re awarded for minimal participation, e.g. sending someone an emoji in response to a heartfelt letter counts as an interaction, so people are merely driven by the numbers and not because they want to genuinely help or connect with someone.
This is such a good idea for an app, but the fact that we live in a capitalist society means that, even though the creator might have meant well originally, he is ultimately looking to keep you on the app for as long as possible and wants to benefit from it monetarily, hence the streaks, emojis, and customisations.
I have, unfortunately, decided to remove it from my phone after three days, when I realised that it was making me feel much, much worse and I wasn’t even genuinely relying on it. Stay away.

Incredible and what a godsend.
I can’t even begin to imagine what and how the developers came up with this idea. It is an incredible app. I searched for a way to speak
with strangers because of the thoughts I had that might cause judgement. Uncertainties of my own decisions, experiencing horrible rude people that think they know better than you.
However after some time of using this app, I can highly recommend it. It allows you to speak to strangers with anonymity.
I can’t afford to continue using my therapist at the moment even though she’s supported me for years, so this is the next best case scenario.
There are no experts, some have poor replies, but overall, it is a winning app for me. When you write a letter/journal, the app even replies to you based on what you wrote. It does not seem robotic or generic. I felt that someone cared about my existence or my dilemma.
Thank you, everyone involved in making this app, and maintaining it. You deserve an award. You should be so proud for wanting to help others out, that feel that they have no place to go, or no one to listen to them.
