Remix your favourite music
-rekordbox includes loads of features you can use to get creative and put your own stamp on your favourite songs.
-With Pad FX, simply touch the pads on the screen to rearrange the composition of a track or add a new texture to the sound.
-Using Key Shift, you can change the key of the music in a single touch, without affecting the speed. Try making a track sound high or low for a new perspective.

Blend 2 songs into 1
-When it comes to DJing, mixing is everything.
-It’s easy to mix 2 songs together naturally as if they were 1.
-First, use Beat Sync to match the tempo and beat, then you're ready to move the faders to blend the tracks together.

Make DJ sound effects, even if you’ve never done it before
-Don't worry if you don't know much about DJing.
-You can use the sampler to create DJ sounds.
-Try hitting the pad and tap Horn.
-Then tap it to the rhythm of the song.

Touch and scratch the sound
-Try touching the sound displayed in white, yellow, and blue waves.
-Move your finger backward and forward to scratch the track.

Slow down the music without changing the pitch of the notes
-If you have a song that’s so fast you can’t understand the vocals, you can change the tempo and play it back slower, but without changing the pitch of the notes.
-This is great not only for DJs, but also for changing the speed of backing tracks when practicing with musical instruments or dancing.

Brilliant app

Just got a ddj400 and started using Rekordbox 6. Really impressed with the software and then found this little beauty! Not sure about the connection issues people are having but it works well for me (latest macOS and latest iOS).

Some small features missing, would like to be able to re-order tracks in playlists to sort out set order but really impressed with everything else you can do.

Most useful app I’ve used in a long time.

Great to have an iPad app but work needed on library management

Ever since I switched to Rekordbox I've dreamt of having an iPad app that I could use to work on my track library whilst sat comfortably on the sofa or in bed.

This is a good start and I'm grateful that it exists at all, however it's essentially identical to the iPhone app and as such the interface feels compromised with many controls needlessly tucked away.

As a result the workflow for processing new tracks - correcting beat grids, setting hot cues and assigning tags - is currently very clunky and awkward with a lot of room for improvement. Creating playlists is also a pain.

I understand why development always focuses on the performance side, that's clearly what sells. Library management is dull. But organising your collection is one of the most important and personal tasks that a DJ has to do and as such it should be made as smooth and effortless as possible.

Despite this having tried most DJ software available not a single one has achieved a slick library management experience. It's always a chore. I think the tablet is the perfect medium for this, and this app could be a useful tool but unfortunately it still has a way to go. I'll keep my fingers crossed and will check back for future updates.

Way too many bugs for a “pro dj” software

The app is fairly basic it’s a remote storage for files and a cue points and playlist editor, however even with this two tasks to do Pioneer has been able to create an app that is very clunky to use (interface could be greatly improved) has bugs (the rekordbox link to my XDJ RX2 via cable is a joke of start the process, remove the Wi-Fi, restart the process, hope it works) and key features like the cloud download and save that simply don’t work as they’re supposed to. Is since yesterday that I’m trying to download four tracks from the cloud and the download wheel remains stuck at the beginning and does not move. Please pioneer we’re in 2022 and a mobile tool for DJs that works seems like the minimum for a credible company that sells itself as leader in DJing tools and equipment.
