Description

No ads. No IAP. Your prize money is your score. You got it kid? Deck Em! is a solitaire-style boxing game. A card game you play to play. Now jump into the ring, kid!

Look, kid. You're not even a contender. You're a nobody. A total long shot. The champ is a stone cold killer. As big as an ox. Stronger than oak. But you got a lot of heart, kid.

And Mickey loves you.

Deck 'Em! is a boxing card game. Try and survive twelve rounds with the undisputed champion of the world, and you'll be a winner in my books, kid.

Much like solitaire, the object of the game, much like many card games, is simply to play and strategize. Each fight is different. Sometimes you'll win. Sometimes you'll lose.

Highlights include:

• Endlessly replayable
• Incredible art
• Simplified gameplay
• Intuitive controls systems
• No ads
• No IAP*
• 100% Free

* Tips welcome. :)

Novel concept

Without a doubtthe concept of this game was real innovative, mixing solitaire and boxing. Somewhat action, somewhat card game. Sounds and visual effects were good too.

It’s useful that the tutorial was modified to make it even clearer regarding blocks. Like many players I was confused at first and kept wondering why some attacks couldn’t get blocked at all whilst others could.

With regard to the role of money in this game, I agree with others in that there doesn’t seem to be much use for it. At the moment it’s used to bet on future matches, but you can’t spend it in any other way. Perhaps the developers could come up with some other features that allows players to spend their accumulated monies. One thing I can think of is buying ‘health packs’, such as when they are in Round 10-12 and don’t want to lose just by a bit. I’m sure there are many other possibilities.

Good feedback! The money is simply suppose to represent you score but we can do better. Like the idea of health packs!

Great! But what next?

The gameplay of this game is absolutely brilliant! After my sixth loss I started to get the hang of it and managed my first win, which was great. It did however pose the question of what now, since it feels like it will eventually get to a point where there’s no desire to play since there’s no sense of progression. Maybe I’m wrong and I’ll continue to enjoy this game for a long time, but some sort of progression, or just something to give the game a bit more depth would be great.

I was going to give this a 4 star rating due to the games lack of depth, however I felt this was unfair since I’m not sure if depth is something the developers were going for when making this game, non the less, for me personally that would give the game another layer of enjoyment.

Overall a great game, which after a few losses you should be able to get the hang of

Fun game but blocking unclear

Fun game. It took me ages to work out what the red number on the block cards means. I know its in the tutorial but it could maybe do with demoing. Maybe demo saving cards too.

Please add some deck building for player progression and different cards for different opponents. It would be nice to be able to tailor your deck for different opponents e.g. half the cards come from you, half from them. Ideas off the top of my head: opponents with some unblockable punches, opponents cards that block your save slots, opponent cards that always discard your block if blocked, one-two opponent cards with two punches.

Developer Response ,

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. Updating today with clearer instructions on block!
