The EQ is totally buggy
I have an iPhone 15 under iOS 17.4.1. The EQ doesn’t have any influence on the sound. When I swipe between the various EQ presets, they often don’t “load” (a red “!” instead of blue “v”) and the same preset comes often twice in a row (when it hasn’t load the first time). The menu list of presets has 4 presets + a personal. But when you swipe beween them, you find a 5th preset, “deep relaxation”, but it never loads. The app sometimes “forgets” my personal preset.
You can’t change the personal preset “on the fly” when listening to music. Although it doesn’t really matter since the presets bring no difference to the sound. Voilà :)
Switch off “smart” settings
With the latest updates you can no longer switch off the “smart” bluetooth on and off. As a result the megaboom sits there in standby, waiting for the phone to switch it on and draining the battery pointlessly and quickly. In the previous iteration of the app, you could switch that functionality off and would only have to charge every few months if the megaboom was off. This has really screwed up the TWO megabooms I invested mucho cash in, you b@stards. FIX IT!
