I really do appreciate that the developers are regularly working to improve this useful program. I do not purchase apps if I see that they are not getting attention by their developers. The team behind this app seem to care about their customers and so are always improving the product. Well worth the asking price, well done team!
"Attention"
I wrote the above review before I realised that through avarice; Apple and App developers moved from one-off payments to yearly subscriptions in what seems to me to be collusion. I say 'collusion' because this happened in near unison with almost identical payment format information etc.
What both parties do not appreciate is that a user like myself might have say, 20 Apps that he uses on a regular basis and thereby if he goes along with this greed of yearly subscriptions; he is paying 20 payments every year and many Apps are charging very high subscriptions rates.
On principle alone; I will not pay yearly subscriptions and if it gets to the point where I can no longer do without those regular Apps after they also have moved to yearly subscription; I will leave Apples platform.
Ok for Basic Stuff
I have been a WPS user since 2015 and I have been satisfied with the basic functionality. However, as I commenced using WPS in a professional environment, I noted some of the weaknesses particularly the limitations of the WPS Cloud capacity of 20 GB with no option to add additional capacity options. Other flaws are found in the search functionality which is seriously limited to a single global search on the home page with additional limits on the number of characters allowed (necessary to avoid a crash). There is no search function by folder. Even the basic home page search tool provides no options regarding the search result such as delete or move. No search sort by file size is available so it’s impossible to find and delete large files making it difficult to manage the limited Cloud capacity. I have had some communication with the WPS Support team in Singapore, who are very polite, but unable to address any of the above issues. The lack of resources will be a serious obstacle for WPS development and Growth. As can be noted by some positive reviews, this app is popular with school student users however WPS needs more robust functionality as I write above.
I won’t recommend anymore to those who wish not to spend money for their day to day basic needs
This app and software is not what it use to be that is free to use the basic or normal functions. Though the subscription isn’t expensive but to those who wish not to spend money for basic functions. I very highly recommend to not use this app. I’ve been using the software ver for over 5 year and seen all the changes. It has now to the point even the basic functionality are to be paid in subscriptions. Eg: Editing and Saving files. Some of the most and very basic functions that every other app or software like this.
Again, I want to make it clear that this is only those who wish not to waste money just for basic functions. I will not recommend this app and software Ver. Best avoid.
Now for those who doesn’t mind spending. Yes it’s a good app and soft ver. A lot of different kinds of functionality and features and can be convenient is certain situations.
