1st Round Review
I played my first round just last weekend, tracking with this app and my Apple Watch 2. The automatic swing detection with recognition of actual shot versus practise shot was very accurate (until the watch ran out of battery, I think I started the round on 55% and made it through 13-14 holes before it died, so should be good for 18 on a full charge).
This is the clear advantage of this app versus my previous tracking app, GOLFSHOT, however it doesn't carry the same level of stats for analysis.
I will continue to use the app for the swing detection, but would prefer the scoring/stats of GOLFSHOT.
Nearly perfect
I resisted using a phone or Apple Watch preferring to use a range finder for the last year but finally decided to bite the bullet and get something which I could use on my Apple Watch it would be simple to enter.I’ve had no troubles at all getting it to work on the Apple Watch and it’s been a revelation having all the statistics to look at after. It’s been thoughtfully designed and I haven’t had any issues with it recognising hits. One improvement I would like is to have the score for the hole appear on the first screen (Perhaps bounded by a square) rather than having to scroll to the second so I know the shot has definitely been recognised and the other would be to have the club default to a driver for each new hole or preference club because I sometimes forget and In the opening hole is it gonna be the same club except on the par-3’s
Works great on phone
I got the premium subscription so I could use all of the features on my Apple Watch Series 4 worked great till I up graded watch software to 5.1.1 Now the track my golf app sets in the apps available area and won’t load onto watch. I have tried rebooting both phone and watch removing and reinstalling app to no avail.
If in future I am able to use app on my watch I will rate again !!!
