One of the better text editors

Textastic is, I believe, one of the beter text editors for macOS.

For USD8 this app is a bargain.

There is a matching iOS app. Eventually there should be integration between the two versions.

Highly recommended.

Just Brilliant . . . .

I have to admit, im now loving this and is my favourite Code Editor and i will say Text Editor as well.
With the latest update, and iCloud support, i can lay in bed with the iOS App on my iPad Mini and throw out a few lines of code before i hit the sack. I wake up in the morning, launch Textastic, will a cool little Apple Script i wrote, and the last file i was working on, on my iPad Mini, opens that file up and im right to go. LOVE iCloud support and not before time.
Kudos goes out to the Dev bringing such a beautiful, user friendly App, for such complex code we write. Well worth the 5 Stars IMHO and i would of paid double for for it.
People reading this, get it now and the iOS App and you will be in Coding heaven on the go, for when you have that epiphany and you need to do a Bill Gates and write the equivalent to the DOS programm on the flight to that backers meeting hahahaha

I cant praise this App enough :) Thanks Alexander Blach, you know your stuff . . . . . . .

Missing SFTP and other remote connection functionality

For those who think that this application has a similar feature set to the iOS one, think again. There is a very glaring omission of remote protocols such as SFTP amongst others, which I dont think is clearly articulated in the feature description of this application. For those who need this functionality (I cant imagine many who wouldn’t), you will need to look elsewhere until the developer adds this functionality. For me, this application has no use at all, until the missing functionality is added. For me, the only way around this, would be to store a copy of all development work in iCloud, make changes on Mac, then use iPad or iPhone to push those changes to my servers - just plain ridiculous. Another option might be to mount the remote servers via a local NFS mount point, so that the application thinks the files are local. I will adjust my rating once I have that working, but it shouldnt be necessary.
