Description
ShapeScript is a 3D modeling program for people who don’t like 3D modeling programs.
Instead of dragging polygons and vertices around in a GUI, ShapeScript lets you define your models precisely using code. No artistic skills are required - ShapeScript does all the drawing for you.
The ShapeScript app includes a parser for a simple language (also called “ShapeScript”). ShapeScript (the language) is a cross between a markup language and a programming language.
You don’t need to be a programmer to use ShapeScript. If you have ever worked with any kind of structured text like JSON or HTML then it should come naturally. But if you do have experience with programming, then you can apply those skills to create even more complex models by using loops, functions and variables to procedurally generate geometry.

Five Stars at last!
I make no secret of the fact that I like Shapescript. It just appeals to me to be a great way to defne any shape or object I can dream up. I've used it to draw Street Lbraries, Coffee tables, Chritsmas trees, even santa and elves, drawn a map of our property and designed (and build) a 15x3 metrre shed. I think what appeals most is that I can specify my dmension with a list of 'defines' and then write a mathmatiocal model using and linking those definitions, which allows me to make changes to trhe dimensions and have the shape or plan instantkly reflect the new dimension. I can add text, dimesnions lines and descriptive output defining the dimensions used. One thing that was missing was the ability to comment out blcks of code, and oversight whihc has now been added and I am now offfically a 'happy camper'

I've been using Shapescripot for two year and in that time it has been improved and improved. Nick the developer is very responsive and I couldnt be happier with the product. Like it says in the blurb, you define your model using the most simple scripting language whoch gives you an exact rendition of your model.
Truly great - and its free to use, only a once off small fee if you want to export the design results in format suitable for 3D printing. Worth ever cent.
