Lack of features
While the web app is an incredibly useful and in-depth platform, the mobile app is unfortunately comparably useless.
About 90% of the features of the web app aren’t available on the mobile app, and spontaneous 1:1s don’t seem to sync. There’s a real lack of visibility in the mobile app around 1:1 and setting them up is a pain.
Realistically I should be able to plan a 1:1 in the office, then head to the coffee shop and be able to use the agenda and take notes from my phone, but it’s just not that easy. I’ve ended up winging a couple of meetings, then typing out the notes again from phone to desktop.
There’s a lot that needs to happen with this before it becomes a worthwhile app. For now, I’ll stick to the desktop version, which I really like.
It’s a shame about the mobile app since the desktop version is so good. Hope to see some big updates in the future.
Why even bother?
Why even bother when the app is buggy, lacking most of the web app features, and is an all round poor user experience? You’d be better to not even offer a native app and make people use the web app via browser. I don’t get why you’d bother to half-bake an app like this. Very odd and makes me wonder what’s going on there internally.
Missing most features found in web
You can only do very basic things in this app - post your update, take 1:1 notes, and your or your report’s goals. And that’s pretty much it, not useful for managing a team at all.
