Best Calendar app so far

I was not happy with iCal and tried several calendar app. I tried this app with initial hesitation due to paid for. However, I finally made to conclusion that this paid app is worth the money. I also bought the Mac version. So, now all of my apple devices practically synced with this app. Awesome!
One feature need to be added, IMO, is direct link to Waze in relation to address. I hope it will be included soon.
[update: Sep26,2020]: it seems the sync between my iPhone and MacBook works slowly recently. I found that emails I erased in MacBook still appears in my iPhone. It will gone until I refresh the app several times. It gives me falls alarms when I switch between devices.

Generally good app other than the predictive input feature which is TERRIBLE

I like Fantastical a lot. It’s really helped me get on top of my life and has plenty of good features. But MY GOD how I wish they did away with the predictive input algorithm. It’s like it was written by a 5 year old. “Oooo they said ‘when’ that must mean they want to set what comes after that to the date/time”… no… the sentence was a reminder to myself that said “Figure out when I can reschedule my dentist appointment to”. Or “Ooo they said ‘in’ that must mean what comes next should be sat as the location.” Again, no. The sentence was “fix drawer in the main room”, I didn’t want you to decide for me how that should be saved. The logic is so painfully simplistic that I just can’t understand how/why anyone would rely on it. There absolutely should be a setting in the app which allows you to toggle it on or off. The amount of pointless retyping I’ve had to do to correct its mistakes has been painful.

Trying to find something better

I’ve enjoyed trialing this app. But taking into consideration the pros and cons, it’s not working well enough for me to stick with it especially because of the cost. There are two main issues for me:
1) The little dots / bullet points are too small. Compared to iCal I’ve overlooked (missed/forgotten) more events in my calendar because it didn’t stand out enough. Why a bullet point for an event? The line style in iCal - and used across days in the horizontal - makes sense, as it communicates the duration of the event. Not to mention it’s easier to see.
2) Sometimes I want the word ‘with’ or the day of the week in the title of the event. There needs to be a way to override the predictive feature. I’ve spent way too long typing and re-typing disappeared event titles - or worse, thought the event was in my calendar, not realising the event has flown off to the wrong day.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the feedback on the bullet points being too small. We will take this into consideration. Concerning the title of the event, if you want your title to stay as you type it in Fantastical, there are ways to do that. Please contact us at flexibits.com/contact for more information.
