What is BHIM?
BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is a UPI enabled initiative to facilitate safe, easy & instant digital payments through your mobile phone.
Requirements:
Before you register on the app, please ensure the following:
You have linked your Mobile Number with your Bank Account and the same is used for accessing BHIM.
Your phone should have an active SIM linked to your Bank Account.
In case of Dual SIM, kindly ensure that you’ve selected the SIM card linked to your Bank Account.
You have a valid Debit Card for your Bank Account. This is required to generate UPI PIN.

More about BHIM:-
• Transaction limit is Rs. 40,000 per transaction and per day
(Please note that your Bank’s Transaction Limit may vary from BHIM’s limit.)

Not able to register when in international roaming
I am not able to register in the app when I’m in international roaming and roaming enabled on my mobile. App tries to send sms using the number starting with “0”. It would be helpful if it starts with “+91” instead so they wouldn’t be any trouble in registering while in roaming. Hope this will be addressed soon.
Unable to use with Australian mobile number
I’m keen to use the app, now that Australian mobile numbers are allowed for the UPI for NRO accounts
From Australia overseas sms needs either + or 0011 prefix
Your app when it composes verification sms uses 00 followed by Indian number, that doesn’t work from Australia
Pl fix this asap, best to use + as it works for all countries
