-- How does Beyond Bank+ work?
In just four easy steps we’ll help you turn around your finances.

1. Link your accounts - Get started by linking all your financial accounts (transaction, savings, credit card, loans, super, investment and more) with Beyond Bank+ to see them all in one place. We use Open Banking (CDR) to safely and securely link your accounts and provide you with a real-time view of your finances. We’ll categorise all your transactions into convenient groups like ‘salary’, ‘groceries’ and ‘gym & fitness’.

2. See where your money is going – We’ll keep track of your regular payments and when they’re due, whether it’s your rent, Netflix or energy bill. Our easy to read, customisable graphs will show you exactly how much you’ve spent on each category and how that’s changed over time.

3. We’ll send you smart money tips and notifications - We’ll let you know when you have insufficient funds to cover upcoming bills, when you can save on subscriptions or have spent more on groceries than you usually do. These and many more insights will help you turn around your finances.

4. And we’ll help you stay on track - Set and track budgets for spend categories, or create goals to save for a holiday, house deposit or emergency fund. You can link your goals to an account to automatically keep track of your progress.

Beyond Bank+ uses the Consumer Data Right (Open Banking) to link your accounts. This is a safe and secure way to share financial data, without sharing your account credentials.
Using Open Banking means you’re in control, you decide what data to share and for how long - and you can always tell us to delete your data.
It also means lightning-fast account linking and real-time transaction updates.
Open Banking is currently available for Beyond Bank, the Big Four banks, plus a number of other banks. We’ll keep adding new providers when they become available. When a provider isn’t available on Open Banking yet, we provide access using screen scraping.

Disappointing & extremely frustrating

I like the idea so downloaded the app. I added my ANZ accounts which went through in seconds. Tried to add my Beyond Bank accounts and it wouldn’t have a bar of it. After 24hrs ‘syncing’ and no progress I went into a branch. The staff did not even know the app existed but none the less tried to help. They telephoned someone in IT at the bank, even took screen shots and sent through to the person but they also had no idea. I canceled trying to sync Beyond Bank to their own app and tried my Qantas money account. For the first 2 days it failed saying‘Technical error, please contact support or try again later’, no troubleshooting information, error codes or anything that may be useful to an IT support person. Finally I got past that error and made it to the final step only for it to fail with another useless error message. Don’t waste your time with this app. If I could give it no stars I would. App now deleted.
