ArtStage: Display Your Art 4+

ArtStage is incredibly user-friendly and has lots of options for different room backgrounds as well as for frames. They are also always adding new rooms. I’ve been using this app for a while now and I’m very happy with it.

What really sets this app apart is the exceptional customer service. I had a small issue once and their support team was incredibly helpful and responsive. They resolved the problem quickly and efficiently, leaving me completely satisfied.

This was my go to app, it was simple, easy to use. But now this app has unnecessary clutter. Too many rooms, too many unneeded features like certificates - which are unusable because they can’t be edited to include catalogue numbers etc. I now have to use the app on a stable flat surface or it bounces around everywhere so no resting my iPad on my knee while I use it. The scaling is a bit out in centimetres but you can manually adjust it. Magic crop includes nearby items and crops one side shorter than the other if your image isn’t exact so I crop before uploading the painting image. But even with these problems it’s still the best art staging app available. I do like the increased choices in framing. I’m really sorry this app got updated because the developer is great and responsive but this new upgrade is a big mistake. And considering all the apps out there like ArtRooms that have never upgraded in anyway I just don’t believe it was necessary. Simplicity is beautiful. Please do not add any more features. Don’t add sunbeams as they interfere with the image of the painting and are exactly why I don’t use some other apps.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and amazing feedback 💖 for the screen rotating issue, you can lock your screen (so it doesn't move from landscape to portrait), swipe down from the top right corner of your iPad, then tap on the little icon that is a picture of a lock. That will stop the iPad from moving between landscape and portrait mode ☺️ we won't add any sunbeams as we want your art to be front and centre. Oh and for the certificates, they are left blank as they should be filled out with a pen to show authenticity 👩‍🎨✨

I love the idea of adding certificates of authenticity; however two things need fixing:
Please bring back the broader selection of frames: the old version had a selection of different frames including Floating Frames
(A space between the inner edge of the frame and the outer edge of the artwork)
Also the sizing doesn’t appear to work properly: when loading an artwork you have to fill in the size of the artwork before continuing…but there’s no Next or Done button: the workaround is you have to keep hitting next til the end which then reminds you to fill in the sizes which has a Done button. I think this is an oversight in the coding.
Anyway, besides the great new certificates feature, I miss the previous version

Hi Mark, thank you so much for the review 💖 we fixed the missing done button overnight as soon as we found it ☺️ We have a convenience button for floating frames coming back soon (we are working on a much more realistic one as we speak) in the meantime you can make one by selecting a mat frame, changing the mat colour to black and then sizing down the mat. It has very good results as you can fine tune the little gap 😉 and very soon we will have an ultra realistic floating frame.
